JEFFREY HANZON, D.M.D.

Dr. Hanzon attended the University of Utah and received his Bachelor’s degree in Health Management in 2000. He then moved to Pennsylvania and attended the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine. At the University of Pittsburgh, Dr. Hanzon was awarded a research grant from the NIH for his work involving Guided Tissue Regeneration. 

From 2005 to 2008, Dr. Hanzon ran a very busy general dental office in Salt Lake City, Utah. While in private practice, he received additional training in many areas of dentistry and this is when he discovered his passion for the field of Endodontics.

In 2008, he sold his general dental practice and began his Endodontic residency at Nova Southeastern University in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. While in residency, Dr. Hanzon was involved in cutting edge research involving Regenerative Endodontics utilizing Dental Pulp Stem Cells. He successfully completed his Postgraduate Degree in Endodontics at Nova Southeastern University in 2010.

Following his residency, Dr. Hanzon moved back to Salt Lake City to work with a large endodontic group practice.

Over the past few years as an endodontic associate, Dr. Hanzon has become very interested in dental trauma and in Cone Beam CT Scan technology. He has lectured on CBCT to study clubs and is always looking for ways to incorporate this exciting technology into Endodontics. 

Dr. Hanzon is a member of the American Dental Association, Utah Dental Association and the American Association of Endodontists. 

Dr. Hanzon has been married to his wife, Alyssa, for 15 years. They have five children, three girls and two boys, and stay very busy with all of the activities of a family. Dr. Hanzon enjoys watching his children compete in dance, gymnastics and soccer. When time permits, Dr. Hanzon enjoys taking in a football game or traveling to a place he has never been.
