Richard Liu, DMD
Dr. Richard Liu earned his Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree from Boston University Henry M. Goldman School of Dental Medicine in 2014, where he was the Salutatorian. He was inducted in to the Omicron Kappa Upsilon National Dental Honor Society and was awarded the Quintessence Award for Excellence in Restorative Dentistry. He practiced as a general dentist with special interest in Endodontics in Boston for three years.
Dr. Liu then completed his Endodontic residency receiving a Certificate in Endodontics and a Master of Science in Dentistry (MSD) degree from The University of Texas School of Dentistry at Houston in 2019. Here, he was involved in cutting edge research in the field of regenerative endodontics. During this time, he also co-authored a research paper on mandibular molar anatomy which was published in the peer-reviewed Journal of Endodontics, which is the official Journal of the American Association of Endodontists (AAE). He then practiced as an Endodontist in Northern Virginia and the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area for a year before recently moving back to Houston.
Dr. Liu is Board eligible and is currently preparing to achieve the Diplomate status in the specialty of Endodontics. He is an active member of the American Association of Endodontists (AAE), the American Dental Association (ADA), the Texas Dental Association (TDA) and the Greater Houston Dental Society (GHDS). Dr. Liu strives to stay current in the latest advancements in the field of Endodontics in order to provide the best possible care for his patients, with his caring and compassionate manner.
In his free time, Dr. Liu enjoys traveling and spending time with his family. He has a son and a daughter, who keep him on his toes all the time!
